Jerry Kranitz, the founder of Aural Innovations, recently wrote the following about my Paradigm Shifts and Seven Virtues: "The principle melodic theme reminds me of a segment from a Yes song I can't put my finger on" and "the keys sounding like a cosmic Keith Emerson". I was raised on Yes and ELP, among others, so Mr. Kranitz's review is accurate. Several listeners used the word "amazing". Another listener wrote, "This music is excellent, for one thing, because of the seamless cohesion of all the elements of each instrument, such as rhythm, tonal variation and complimentary spacial frequencies. The music becomes a pleasing sonic texture, full and satisfying, yet not overwhelming. Your music should please those with the highest standards in musical composition. I love it! I am an one-man cosmic band with an original style akin to an amalgam of Vangelis, Shakti, Tangerine Dream, Steve Hackett, Fripp-Eno, Jon Hassell, Enya, Enigma, et al: a full, highly-melodic, and therapeutic sound--complete with percussion, synth sequences, and electric as well as acoustic guitar, cool ambience as well as incandescent fire. I opened for spacerock bands, played for modern dancers, and did many solo gigs at several colleges in NYC. I am looking to do more of these things. Please do NOT ask me to play for free because I have an MFA, many years of experience, and no day gig.
